Object-oriented classification of Chopok-Jasná land cover

Stanková, H., Čerňanský, J.: Object-oriented classification of Chopok-Jasná land cover. Kartografické listy, 2004, 12, 4 figs., 1 tab., 12 refs.

Abstract: Different changes caused by tourism today occur in mountainous areas. The most often used method for mapping and monitoring of these changes is visual interpretation of aerial images. Recently, a new method of automatic classification was developed — object-oriented classification based on segments. By the visual interpretation and object-oriented classification of Chopok-Jasnd orthophotoimages were created the land cover maps and databases. Accuracy of these two methods was evaluated by comparing with independent classified reference polygons.
