Šrámková, R.: Continuous orthophotomaps of the Slovak Republic. Kartografické listy, 2004, 12, 1 fig., 2 refs.

Abstract: Geodis Slovakia started project of colour orthophotomap the Slovak Republic (SR) in April 2002 and was completed in September 2003. The aerial metric images are collected at the basic scale of 1:26,000 using the inertial navigation system Applanix and the height resolution scanning. The analytic aerial aero triangulation provides the best quality of product with mean quadratic error in the horizontal and vertical planes Mxyz = 0.4 m. The continual orthophoto processing procedure is providing usually technology of orthophoto production in the 1:5,000 map layouts. Planimetry accuracy of orthophotomaps is 1.5 m and resolution is im and 0.5 m pixel size. This actual orthophoto covering of the whole SR is new way to have excellent data quality applicable for various purposes in public and private sector.
