Abstract: The paper is dedicated to the theme of spatial relationship of neighbourhood as one of the significant parameters of a wider conceived Morphometric analysis of areas creating the framework to study of area structure of regional typification. Neighbourhood is presented on example of land cover of Slovakia partially from the applicational aspects, but above all from the point of view of methodology. The presented paper is the contribution to a more comprehensive view of the theme.
