Abstract: This article is about the relation between maps and their users. We are observing two sections of cca 1500 sentences, by which cca 40 students of two different schools describe a map (or territory which is pictured on this map). We are looking for the possibility of abstraction from variability of language means, with aim of looking for regularities of user’s information generalizing from the map. In the second part we describe four levels of generalizing of information from the map. The symbolical language, which was used is described in the examples. Moreover there are classified problems of context, mistakes, relationship map-reality and description of the map itself.
Keywords: map as model of reality, generation of information, quantitative analysis, relation, operation, context
