Abstract: Digital revolution has changed conventional methods and structures at pre-press stages. Digital scaning is a standard input technique for images. Large format image-setters and digital platesetters with amplitude-modulated and frequency-modulated electronic screening speed-up otset platemaking. Computer-to-press elimimates the film and plate-making processes. Computer-to-print or digital printing breaks down the traditional cost and time barriers to efficient short-run colour printing.
