Abstract: One of the issues connected with the study of land cover changes is visual presentation of changes aiming to improve possibility of their interpretation and communicate them to other users. The visualisation of such complex data as the land cover changes are calls for specific approaches allowing to reduce the high amount of changes taking place in the studied territory, to more concise information which is communicated to other users. In the paper the basic approaches based on an aggregation of changes in relation to user needs and spatial aggregation of changes are explained. This explanation is followed by examples of land cover changes visualisations highlighting different aspects of undergone changes in the territory of south part of Záhorie lowland.
