Abstract: Following the issued Atlas of churches, confessions and religions in Slovakia (Poláčik 2000), the next cartographic publication – the atlas which comprises the analysis of confessions statistics based on the last census of population in Slovakia carried out in 2001, with special impact on statistics of the Catholic Church is being prepared at the moment. The paper highlights this project, featuring its structure, contents, cartographic design, the collective of authors, the ways of data processing, the timetable of its issuing and the current state of the project progression, scheduling, and publishing.
