Abstract: Primary Base of Geographical Information System represents new concept in mapping of topographical elements and terrain in the Slovak Republic. It is a basis for building of complex geographical information resources (geographical information, geographical information systems, geographic information services) of landscape. Informatics tools of geographical database and semantics of complex digital terrain model create together powerful tool for modeling of complex spatial structures of terrain and topographical elements with complete geographical information (location, theme, time). Distribution of this complex information creates possibilities for add value reprocessing and decision making inside national spatial data infrastructure. Standardized and harmonized data model of interoperable geographical database of complex digital terrain model and its operating options for modelling of complex spatial structures with topographical elements are presented in this article.
