Validation of archeological predictive models made by means of fuzzy sets in GIS envi-ronment

Karell, L., Lieskovský, T., Ďuračiová, R.: Validation of archeological predictive models made by means of fuzzy sets in GIS envi-ronment. Kartografické listy, 2012, 20 (2).

Abstract: This paper deals with a validation of archeological predictive models (APM) made by means of fuzzy sets in GIS environment. This part of research on the valuation of fuzzy archeological predictive models is not widespread in geoinformatics and it is necessary to point out its relevance. The main part of the paper represents a description of recent known methods of the validation of predictive models and then it describes their modification for fuzzy APM. These methods were applied to the archeological predictive models from a specific region of Slovakia. APM were created by deductive fuzzy and deductive-inductive approach. The aim of this study is a comparison of approaches to creation and validation of fuzzy APM.
