Abstract: Overview on basic map works creating by geodesy and cartography workers in the organisations of transport’s field is illustrated. They are large-scale and medium-scale maps which serve as collected documentation for development, maintenance and operation on railways, motorways and roads of the first, second and third categories, airports and ports. For field of the railway transport it is Uniform Railway Map, for the road economy it is Basic Motorway Map and Road Map, for water transport it is Basic Port Map.
