Abstract: There is a tendency to prefer a new philosophy in understanding of information about a territory because of increasing demand on quality and content of information about the territory together with investigation a field of their effectiveness. According to this philosophy can be said that data capture, their processing and utilization of information about the territory is continual, never ending process. Identification of time factor with its consequencies on information has resulted in characterizing of data capture, processing and their utilization. New understanding of information emphasizes, except their accuracy and unambiguity, that they should be topical. Now-a-days, used classical methods in such economical, technological and personal conditions can not provide organizations with actual information. That is why, contemporary effort here is going to be turned to developement of Military Information System, complement of classical graphic information (maps) and to creation of modern digital information. In adition, they arised another problems such as coexistence of information systems together with classical topographic maps, modernization of map creation technologies with implementation of digital information, etc. This article gives one of possible approaches how to simplify content of topographic map with regard to topical continuity.
