Abstract: The main requirement for geoinformation systems (GiS) for infrastructure is to create, maintain and actualise the model of distribution network. In order to reach this goal, it is necessary to automate mapping and maintenance of technical documentation. When using an external tool for processing the primary collected map data, the clear structures of map objects should be defined. This way is possible to achieve a consistent, integration-able data model, whose actualisation is mostly possible by an integrated field tool of GiS application.
