Abstract: The paper is intended to present some of the results of measurements Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers under forestry conditions. GPS data were collected using Pathfinder Pro XRJS, GeoExplorer 3 and Pathfinder Pocket receivers. Tests were done in stands of varying species compositions and gross volumes. The main objectives were to provide information on the relationship between selected stand condition and data quality. The results support the concept that relationship between stand conditions and data quality is significant.
