Výpočet miery fragmentácie pôdy

Hudecová, Ľ., Geisse, R., Vardžáková, M., Turan, P.: Methodology for quantifying of land fragmentation. Kartografické listy, 2016, 24 (1).

Abstract: The procedure of land fragmentation quantification is not settled yet, therefore it is not easy to monitor and evaluate its progress. In practice we encounter two situations where land fragmentation is being quantified. The first approach is performed by competent authority when compulsory comprehensive land consolidation initiation is in proceeding. The second calculation is evaluation of land consolidation after its completion. Both approaches for determination of the extent of land fragmentation serve their goal; however, they are ad hoc, heterogeneous and incomparable. They neither provide simple solution for calculations, nor the possibility of statistical evaluations and international comparisons. We used international experience when looking for new approaches to land fragmentation calculation, when land fragmentation is expressed in value between 0 and 1. The calculation of global land fragmentation index (GLFI) was modified to take into account the specifications of Slovak land ownership and Slovak legislation regarding the land consolidation. After its implementation into practice, the future development of fragmentation can be monitored and statistically evaluated. The proposed method for calculation of land fragmentation was applied in finalized land consolidation project in cadastral district Čunovo.
