Abstract: The first digital small-scale atlas of soil resources in Slovakia was compiled applying the MAPINFO program, Statistical data were taken from the 1993 statistical yearbook. District boundaries were scanned from a 1:2 000 000 map of Slovakia. Raster data were vectorized by the GEOSCAN program, which is a Slovak product. The range of values in maps is divided into 6 intervals. The atlas is composed of 25 map sheets produced by a colour printer.
