Abstract: Basic settlement units (BSU) are part of spatial units registry. The BSU are attending on spatial identification and watching social-economical and area-technical features in the country. The primary purpose of the BSU is spatial visualisation and organization of the census data. Determining outlines of the basic settlement units with vector cadastral map is optimal for its geodetic precision and continuous actualization. The basic settlement unit area contains cloud of land parcels defining with parcel number and the BSU outline can be created with elementary mathematical functions in geographic information system (GIS) software.
