Abstract: The accuracy and documentation of digital spatial data from topographic maps. The analysis of digital data from the original topographic maps 1:25 000 veilfied the usability of the graphic background as far as its accuracy is concerned. Limits of positional errors 8 m for class I accuracy and 20 m for class 2 accuracy were not exceeded. Mean square errors in position of a contour point 5.1 m and in distance to a control point 4.5 m are documented in table 2.
